Fabricated from 11-gauge steel and standing 6'6", combined with a Medico lock cylinder, that can't be drilled or tampered with.
The Applications
The ProGuard lock system can be welded to most container doors. The success of ProGuard II is the quality of the door. The process of applying a ProGuard II lock takes approx. 2hrs for the first unit. Future installations can be reduced to 45 mins.
The ProGuard II Components
1) The lock box- which contains the Medico cylinder and lever for opening the door.
2) The security pins- there are 4 cold-rolled steel pins measuring 3/4". They fit into the jamb and floor when container door is locked.
3) The main housing- this is the shell that protects the lock operation when the container is open. The security pins are retracted inside this housing during normal working hours.
The Operation
To use a ProGuard II lock, container doors must be shut and latched. The opening on the right door contains the lock box. A 5" cut-out of the door allows the lock box to protrude through the door. The lock box houses the Medico cylinder. Insert the key and rotate. The horizontal lever will either lock or unlock depending on rotation of the key. If the unit is unlocked, the lever will move up and down, allowing the four security pins to retract in the main housing. When locked, the opposite occurs.
